Q. How Do I advertise on this website?

A. For you to place an AD, you have to register by clicking on the register button. An advertisement is placed by clicking on the Place AD button. This will prompt you to choose your advertising category. More information can be found in our “Getting Started Guide”

Q. Can I use an agent if I advertise on your website?

A. At ShowYourHouse we do not set any restrictions on advertising your properties else where. With a “sole agency” contract, the estate agent is the only agent that has the right to sell your property, so if you find a buyer yourself, you do not have to pay the agent’s commission. Check the estate agent's contract to make sure they haven't specified a clause saying "sole selling rights" rather than "sole agent right". In this case you would still have to pay the agent commission even if you sold it yourself.

Q. What Payment methods do you accept?

A. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Switch, Solo, MasterCard etc. Payment is through World Pay. This is a very secure payment system provided by the Royal bank of Scotland. We do not harbour any bank details of customers. After choosing your packages, you are redirected to their secure servers guarded by powerful firewalls to make your payment.

Q. Do you charge to upload videos on properties?

A. ShowYourHouse do not charge for the general public to upload their videos if they have been professionally shot and edited. Visit our pricing page to view our video packages.

Q. What formats of videos can I upload my videos through?

A. With Showyourhouse.co.uk you can upload any video format including Mpeg, WMV, MP4 format, AVI, 3GP etc.

Q. I clicked on the link to watch the video but nothing seems to appear, what should I do?

A. Videos may take a while to appear depending on the connection speed. Please allow at least a minute for the video to start. Make sure that you have an up to date version of Windows media player and Adobe Flash, if you have any further questions on this matter please do not hesitate to contact us at support@showyourhouse.co.uk.

Q. How long will my property be available on the website database?

A. Your property will usually stay uploaded for 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months depending on the video package. After that period it is up to the discretion of ShowYourHouse whether your advert remains there after the expiry date.

Q. Can I alter my Ad after submission?

A. All advertisements placed on ShowYourHouse.co.uk go live immediately and are editable 24/7. All changes made take effect immediately.

Q. Will ShowYourHouse provide the general public with my contact details?

A. ShowYourHouse will not provide the general public with any contact details other than your user name and any members of the general public wishing contact you must email you. All communication takes place on the website and customers’ details remain anonymous unless they choose to reveal them.

Q. If I see a property which catches my eye how will I arrange a viewing?

A. After finding a property which meets your criteria, click on the link which says ‘Contact Owner’ this will take you to a page where you can fill out a form and arrange a viewing time suitable for you; this will be emailed onto the appropriate owner who will contact you to discuss the property in further detail.

Q. I have enquired about a property however I have not received any information or been contacted yet, why is that?

A. We are sorry that one of our house owners has not replied on time to your request. We are working closely with all our clients to guarantee that they respond swiftly to your requests. If you do not get a reply after 48 hours, contact us and we will chase the property owner for you.

Q. The details of the property seem to be incorrect, why is this?

A. ShowYourHouse receives all information directly from the owners, if there seems to be any errors on the website please do not hesitate to contact the owner directly.

Q. Is ShowYourHouse an online estate agent?

A. Showyourhouse.co.uk is not an online estate agent because we do not sell houses directly from the seller onto you; however we are an online property magazine who aims to connect all sellers and buyers together, we act as an intermediate between the owner and buyer.

Q. I am an agent/property developer wondering about becoming a member, where would I find more information about this?
